My PC auto logins but the DVR wont start, I end up having to delete folder in program data and reinstalling. What service/file should be starting upon reboot? Appreciate any help as it works great other than this.
There’s no reason to reinstall… you can type “Channels DVR” in the start menu to boot it up.
It is supposed to start at login however. Can you check the Task Manager and see if it is listed under Startup Items?
It is listed under startup items in control panel (and enabled), only way to check is to restart my PC again. If I type channels DVR in search box, it launches a browser connecting to service but I am afraid if I restart it again, the service will not be running for web page to connect to anything.
If it’s running already it launches a browser. If it’s not running, it starts it up.
Not sure why it’s not starting automatically when it’s listed on startup items…
Next time you reboot, can you check the log file under the ProgramData dir to see if it has any errors listed?
apparently tried to automatically update and it didn’t come back up. Rebooted PC and still not go. below is log file, thanks for the help!

Ick, your guide database has become corrupted.
Please delete c:\programdata\channelsDVR\data\USA-OTA06460.airings and then start the DVR engine again.
deleted entire folder, app wont start…rebooted and here is the end of the log file currently:
