When I looked Saturday afternoon, there were 3-4 shows that the DVR was going to record that evening. Today I see that none of them have been recorded. But I see that one will be rebroadcast later on Monday and the DVR is saying it will record it then (I assume the same is true for the others). Should I believe the DVR when it says it will record on Monday? I think I have seen this happen a few other times as well, but I am not positive and I want to debug what is going on. Is there a place where I can see what the DVR is intending to do and why? Why did it choose to skip recording in the past? What is it going to record or skip in the future and why?

Thanks to the pointer to the log. I see it now but there is too much crap there already. I've cleared it and now let's see what Channels does.
Not sure what you mean by too much crap and clear it out. The log shows you exactly what happened and you can go back to the time of those affected recordings and see what the issue was.

Could also be your server didn't wake in time to record. Without the logs you'll never know.

I meant that I see this sort of stuff (example below) in the log. It is difficult for me to parse. Am I looking at the right log? Happy to look elsewhere if that's better.
