Maybe a dumb question, but why is there no Restore menu in Channel's menu bar item (on Mac). It's not hard to go to the /restore URL, but wouldn't having that as a menu item just make it easier?

Probably because if there was button there, some people would click on it and initiate a non-revertable action.
No, I just mean it would just open a web browser to the restore page to make it easier.
