Will the new Discovery + service be available as TV Everywhere?

My wife exclusively watches Discovery networks channels besides our local OTA channels. We currently subscribe to Philo because it has the channels she watches. The integration with our Channels app is perfect. But Phil is $20 a month and the new Discover+ service is only going to be $6.99. Is there any chance that this can be integrated into Channels at some point?

I don’t think there will be any sort of live service. Its just on demand from what I heard.

If you can use the credentials for the service to log into the discovery networks websites and view a live stream of the channel, it’s possible.

Nice! That’s great news

Only if you can use your provider credentials. If it requires Discovery+ account credentials that would be like ABC All Access which isn't supported.

I wonder if it will be though. Aren't most premium subs excluded eg. espn+ etc ?

Discovery+ has live feed for HGTV, Dmax, Quest, Quest Red.
Use UK version of Discovery+ it has lot of free content and free episodes as catch-up service.

Also it's possible to get everything free for one year if you have Sky Q.

Back catalog of thier tv shows....sure....minus the ones they wish to forever hide and not see the light of day again.

like It Takes A Thief. A show about how ex-burglars now turned good test security and break into peoples home, on live camera, and then they teach the homeowners and give them all new home security systems etc. (home onwers fully agreed to it and knew they going to be tested and broken into sometime in the next week or two)

A show u will find no dvd box sets, does not exist on streaming, anywhere.
A show i ripped off my home recorded vhs tapes, and posted on YT, but Discovery blocks them in CA and USA, but all other countries can watch them. lol

Can you put them on Vimeo?
YT in USA is pretty crazy, live would be easier if technological giants were not located in US.
That good old days of VHS, I have several tapes from 90s I am trying subsequently digitalize.

Other platforms are pointless, imo. As no one uses them like YT. I tried a few, they gotten removed or had stupid upload limits etc. Furthermore, it takes only a few secs to bypass a geo block to watch a YT video, VPN or YT un-block extension.
anyways, that is starting to get off topic...

I just wanted to mention that Discovery +, or any such VOD streaming service from most any network, will always not have their entire collection. and, shows come and go.
I just had PBS Kids via Amazon Prime, kill off a many season long show (Arthur) that i just started to binge watching,(cause nostalgia factor, saw it as a kid) and they only gave 10 days notice...of cource, this after i had paid for the first month service, specifically just to watch said series, cause it is the only platform it is on. but, poof, its gone now, mid watch, and forced to find it via torrents or something. Netflix and Hulu, etc all the same crap with licensing of content.

and lot of free content

Has anyone tried Stream Links with Discovery+ yet? Does deep linking work on Android? Don't have the service myself to test, but thinking it is the most likely replacement service in the future.

Has there been any change in this? Wife wondering if it would be possible to integrate it into Channels app. Thanks in advance.

It's possible to integrate anything into Channels; it just depends upon how much effort and how many dollars you want to put in:
