Windows ADB Tuner Bridge App

Thanks for this new tool. I'm testing it out using my Spectrum app, but can't find the information regarding how to configure the app so the software will control the app. My streaming device is a Tivo Stream 4k. I've turned on USB debugging and I'm using a Mirabox USB capture device. I can watch one channel as long as the spectrum app is open. Thanks for any help you can offer.

I only tested it with onn tv boxes. I might not be much help with the Tivo Streamer. Have you been able to use it with the ADBTuner before? The device will need to authenticated

IMPORTANT FIRST-TIME STEP: The very first time this tool tries to talk to your TV, a box will pop up on your TV screen asking to "Allow USB debugging" . Check the box that says "Always allow from this computer" and select OK . The tool will not work until you click OK on the TV screen.

Take screenshots of the other sections on the dashboard showing your Tuners, Providers and Channels. I have also never used the Spectrum App. Does it allow for Deeplinks?

I have an ONN 4k I can use, but it has a Google OS. Will that work? I never got the "warning" on the Tivo.

Yeah, the GoogleTV os works great. I never tried it with the AndroidTV os, but they are more or less the same.

Thank you. I'll test it tomorrow.

Earlier I could get one channel to work, the Spectrum News Channel, but If I added a 2nd channel and tuned to the 2nd channel it would show the 1st channel.

I have yet to get the screen requesting to approve USB debugging.

Thanks.

@jgpeacock Your deeplink ID is wrong. I have no idea what the spectrum app deeplinks are or if it even has deeplinks. You will need to search the forums and find how to get deeplinks for the app or ask someone that does use it with ADB.

Edit: after doing some research, it appears the Spectrum app for Android/Google TV devices does not use deeplinks and will not work with my project.

v5.0.6 Adds Audio Sync for Local Tuners.

Thats disappointing. I had hoped to be be able to use this project to access my DRM channels. I appreciate your help and work on this project. Something will come along some day.

@jgpeacock I wish I knew more about the Spectrum apps. Prismcast may work for you. Have a look at that project or look in the forums and see what others using Spectrum have been using. Sorry.

Please know I'm disappointed with Spectrum, not your work. I would drop Spectrum for Directv, but my wife is still holdiing on to her 12 year old cable box/dvr even though I've shown her how we can record all of her programs with Channels. Until then, thanks for your great contributions to this group.

@jgpeacock Do you have any PC's running Linux or are you only using Windows?

I have two running Linux. I only keep the Windows PC for a couple of programs I use to edit videos.

Have you tried PrismCast with Spectrum?

I have any idea that I'm going to need some time to work on. I may have stumbled onto something really cool. Ill let you know what I find out. Question, do you have a Roku device sitting around?

I have tried Prismcast, but was not happy with the results.

I was happy when i could get your program working with the one spectrum channel and the quality was very good. Thats why hoped it could worrk.

I do have a Roku ultra that im not using, but could easily connect it for testing.

Awesome. I am going to revamp my Roku Tuner Bridge script to be more state aware for keystroke tuning of apps. I'll put updates on the Roku tuner post and include you in the posts as it develops.

Thank you for helping.

I'm on spectrum internet so I can sign up for a 7day free trial of spectrum TV to test it out when I get to that point. It might take a couple of weeks to get it ready, I'm a little busy with other projects and work and life in general, but I will put in the effort to push it out.

I just connected my Roku. It updated the software and now I have this error. The Roku is connected to my Mirabox USB capture device and I am viewing the Roku via OBS.
