Hi there. Is anyone interested in an Android TV launcher that mimicks Windows Media Center? I (Claude) built it for myself but thought maybe someone else would benefit from it. I have a little more testing to do, but how much depends on if anyone uses it.

I have only tested it on an Onn 4K but so far it's been solid for me. Google likes to find different ways to hide the launcher, but there are some adb commands in the install.md file that force it to stay on top. You can make custom cards using deeplinks.
Things I haven't added yet:
- Navigation Sounds
- Customizable icons.
I miss WMC so much. It was my first love that got me into all this.

I had a lot of fun with WMC. Cable company DVRs were barely a thing and not very good, but I could record as much as I wanted and watch it on any TV in the house using Xbox 360s.
Someone is always trying to ruin the fun though. Cable started encrypting their channels. Ceton left the cablecard/extender business. Microsoft gave up on WMC… It continues today with ATSC 3 encryption and TVe dying a slow death.
Nice work, unfortunately I still use WMC with ADBTuner, youtube tv and frndly.
