I have a dedicated NUC 6 Celeron with 4GB RAM that I’ve been running the DVR on for a few years without major issues. It’s running Windows 10 since it was built. I was wondering if there are any advantages or disadvantages to moving it to Linux? I’m talking strictly for the DVR, not general OS type stuff. I want this thing to be as much of an appliance as possible.
I’m super comfortable with Windows but not very experienced with Linux. If there aren’t any real advantages, I don’t really want this to be my Linux playground.
