For now disabled the module via
$ cat /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist-wireguard.conf
install wireguard /bin/true

Are you talking about the Pi OS image or something else?

Nope, not RPi. Debian 11 on Intel.
$ uname -a
Linux debian1 5.10.0-17-amd64 #1 SMP Debian 5.10.136-1 (2022-08-13) x86_64 GNU/Linux
Our software does not load modules. Something else on your OS must be doing it.
doesn't tailscale use it?
No our implementation doesn't use any kernel modules.
