Windows Media Center should be the benchmark all DVR’s aim to be. I wish it was still supported because nothing has come close to how awesome it was. It’s crazy to think that WMC goes back to early 2000’s and was so ahead of its time.
I've noticed that the Channels plugin for Kodi lets you do this, but only if the Kodi skin supports it. Either way, it supports background audio. However, it would be nice to have this functionality in the actual Channels app.
