Yet more pass issues . .

Hello!

I have 3 passes set up. The shows are M-F evenings. They are set to “All Episodes” and in advanced “Re-record deleted episodes” is checked. This was the advice I followed along with doing the most current pre-release.

Two are on the same channel, third is on a different one.

Yesterday, they all showed as queued. Great!

Today, only one shows as queued. The other show on the same channel and the third on the different channel are not queued and just have the green symbol.

I am now at a complete loss as to how to get these passes to work consistently.

Any ideas?

Thanks!

Can you post your pass ?

I assume you mean a green play icon? If so, that means the episode was recorded and is in your library. It will not record again, because it is in your library; to force it to record again, you can either manually delete it, or mark it in the web UI as not recorded.

So are you saying that unless I either delete or watch EVERY day, the pass won’t work as intended?

Each episode is new each day. And I have record all set.

And, as I said, one of the shows queued correctly.

As soon as I’m home. Do you want screenshots of both basic and the advanced?

If the guide is indicating that each episode is unique, then the "All" setting will catch each episode. If for some reason the guide does not properly identify each episode as unique/different, it will only record a single copy of each "unique" airing.

With the limited information you have provided, it's difficult to say exactly what's going on. Remember, we only know what you tell us; more information/detail is always good.

Sounds like your xmltv is not properly tagging episodes, so the dvr doesn't know what to record again and what to skip.

If you use an officially supported source then none of these problems would occur.

Ok. I will keep watch.

Is there any way for me to check the xml to see if that’s the case?

You can deduce problems just by looking at the guide items. If they're not properly tagged with New or season and episode numbers, then you're going to have a rough time using that kind of source for recording with Channels.
