Your Channels DVR Server at home can not be reached

Evening - I can no longer log into my channels on apple Tv - i get

Your Channels DVR Server at home can not be reached.

Remote Access is enabled, but we can not reach your server. Please ensure that port 8089 has been properly forwarded from your router to the IP address of the computer you installed Channels DVR Server on.

Nothing has changed on the server on the apple tv - any ideas where to start, its been working for months and now nothing. Sadly this is probably going to mean the household may need to move away from channels as its not easy to sort out if i am not here - :frowning:

Your port forwarding seems not to be working. You can check what it says on the DVR web UI in the remote access settings area. Or check the router to see if the port forward is active. You can check portchecker.co to verify 8089 is open

It does seem to be blocked - interesting as the homerun is located remotely and the server has not changed. Is there any guide on why the port may become blocked - sadly i fix it remotely so it will have to wait until i am next there...

Andy

If you have back to my Mac or similar you could use that to connect.

My guess is the IP of your DVR changed. What kind of router is being used?

I still cant get it to work - i have a Hawaei HG8245Q (but cant get into it using any passwords - i have a support ticket open)

Channels did used to work (without any router settings) - now i get 'Your router can't be discovered. Enable port forwarding for TCP port 8089 manually.'

Andy

Try https://portforward.com/huawei/passwords/ and https://portforward.com/huawei/hg8245q/

Can you check the Log tab for any messages with [NAT]

Thanks for the login links, sadly none of them work so i must have custom firmware on it...

Noting it failed after 'Downloading new version v2019.11.19.2312'....

There were some upnp changes in that version that seem to have caused a regression with your router.

Can you post the output of http://127.0.0.1:8089/system/network

Sure

Thanks. I'm uploading v2019.11.26.2237 which will be available in about 20 minutes. Please update to it, then paste the new [NAT] logs that appear.

New build is ready. To update, click-and-hold the Check for Update button

Thanks for the update - really appreciated and it now works on 8089 - the log file is as follows:
