4K HDR Thumbnail attempts keeps spiking cpu

4K HDR Thumbnails

I have a TV season that is in 4K Dolby Vision, and it doesn't seem to be able to get thumbnails. Do I understand it correctly that it creates the thumbnails when added to the library with ffmpeg? The files play fine, so I'm guessing the player in the client app works with the files fine. But on the server, is it because it's 4K or Dolby Vision or just HDR in general? Update: Just to try to find out for myself, I added a 1080p Dolby Vision series and it seemed to get those thumbnails just fin…

But now I'm noticing, every time I browse the series, it will keep trying to acquire those thumbnails and spike the CPU. I can see several FFMPEG processing running, and eventually they fail. I've had a few times where it locked the server up and I had to hard reboot it. For me, my media all has a thumbnail image on the filesystem associated with it. It'd be a great work around for me if I could just have it use that instead. Is there anyway to do that?
