I am recording off of YTTV. No sure if it was trying to record two streams at once but that is possible. Seems really intermittent.

I'm using the YTTV account just for Chnnels.
If i have people use the account and they are on my network, i will get 4k package.

I asked for this feature also! On the Import/Export dialog there should be an option to merge input or Overwrite existing.

Anyone look any further into FreeCast? Still cannot get ADBTuner to even open FreeCast, much less tune a channel. I poked around the apk last night, and found this info. But, I'm afraid I've run to the limit of my knowledge.

When you use a firestick or other device, does Freecast allow for clicking to go directly to the stream?
Freestream needs to be able to support deep linking.

Finally jumped into ADBTuner. I am using 2 J-Tech JTD-220. I have discovered they don't like running 1080 above 30FPS. You can change it to 60 but the CPU's go and stay high. At 720 - 60FPS, they run perfectly. Anyone found a better enocder that will handle 60 FPS? FYI, I am using Firestick 4k, running Android 11.

My Ex-vist encoder works great.
I'm running 1080p 60FPS and it just works.
No heat issues. I'm using the Onn 4 k boxes.

I already have a J-Tech ENCH4 encoder. This was the first encoder I purchased. It has fine build quality, respectable performance and the firmware is very stable. I just wanted something new to play with. This forum is the Playground after all. This project and ADBTuner sent me down a rabbit hole of reading about encoders. Most all of the encoders are based on a Hikvision platform developed for security cameras. All these encoders are nearly identical and most are running SoC from 2016/17…

Just a small update. I was able to get this for under $200 with the use of some coupons and it appears to be the identical unit I got from eBay. It’s probably the cheapest option I’ve found. I will put it through some burn in testing but so far I haven’t been able to find a difference.

That's a pretty good deal. Very similar to the J-Tech models. I would venture to bet they share firmware as well.

Using DTVStream isn't possible with this project, but I have it running with the ah4c project. Tuning is not as fast as when deep links are available (required for this project), but it's reliable. See this thread for details:

There are a lot of HDMI IP encoders available on Amazon these days, under brand names like URayCoder and iseevy These have been discussed a bit in the past here: I picked one up to try it out, and it works quite well. You can choose between H264/H265, select the bitrate and a lot of other options. Interesting development in my constant stutter situation. I signed up for YTTV, and lo and behold, no stuttering at all. Same encoder settings I was using for Hulu, and no stutter. Anyone else using Hulu and seeing no stutter? I tried a bunch of other encoder settings, with YTTV as the source, and found it very hard to get a stutter. My encoder must not like something about the Hulu stream. Even though Hulu does not stutter when the Chromecast is plugged directly into a TV. Quite frustrating.
