Okay thanks. I do see some weirdness in Safari as compared to Chrome
I have also been seeing this issue for a while, persistent across Chrome, Firefox, and Edge on Windows.
In addition to not always showing
Queued ⏷, this also happens when an airing has already been recorded: the dropdown menu alternates between
Recorded ⏷ and ⛭⏷ every time the viewport's focus is lost, but does not change back when focus is regained, only when focus is lost a second time.
I can even leave the dropdown open showing
Error: Job Not Found / Mark as Unqueued
Switch to another browser tab and back and now it displays
Record
OK, I'm done posting on this unless asked
The glitchy back-and-forth behavior should hopefully be fixed in v2021.09.15.1617
Thought I should explain what I'm seeing.
I have 3 servers recording this four part documentary to ensure I get all 4 parts since they only air each part twice.
The post above is from Server #2.
Server #1 uses a normal Series pass and exhibits no flipping back and forth between queued and unqueued.
Server #2 uses a Series pass to record the 8pm airings and exhibits flipping back and forth between queued and unqueued.
Server #3 uses a Series pass to record the 10pm airings and exhibits flipping back and forth between queued and unqueued.
Not sure what changed but it's back to flipping back and forth again.
This shows switching back and forth between two browser tabs showing the same thing.
On v2021.09.19.1731.
The flipping does not occur with "Queued" for the actual airing queued for recording (both by a pass or manually).
However, I still see the flipping for:
- "Queued" on a duplicate airing (i.e., where another earlier/later airing of the same episode or movie is already queued for recording)
- "Recording" on a duplicate airing
- "Recorded" on any airing (both episodes and movies)
Also seeing the behavior when selecting the second airing from the grid guide while the first is still recording.
Appears that not all browsers will display the animated gif below and I have to click on it with Firefox and Edge to see the animation.
Yep, still happening.
I also see it when I click on the Matches (##) tab in the pass.
Switch back and forth between tabs in the browser and it happens.
The devs probably don't see this as I think they use the Chrome browser.
I use Firefox and Brave (and Edge as a last resort).
@tmm1 I'm still seeing the flipping back-and-forth issue on v2024.01.11.0232.
On any airings page with "Recorded" airings, every time the browser viewport focus is regained, the dropdown menu title alternates between
Recorded ⏷ and ⛭⏷.
Another easy way to reproduce the focus change is to click the URL bar and then click somewhere on the webpage, and then repeat this to see the menu titles alternate each time.
I've recently noticed another symptom of this issue: every time the airings page regains focus, repeated errors are logged to the browser dev console, and at the same time the dropdowns very briefly flash
[
Recorded ⏷] before reverting to [
⏷].
This results in the dropdowns getting "stuck" in the [
⏷] state.
For example, in the case of a movie airings page with two airings listed, the following is logged to the browser developer console (four times, twice per airing) every time the airings page regains focus:

...where 4940 is the File ID of the existing recording and /dvr/programs/MV001899890000 returns "recorded-4940".

This should fix it. Please let us know if you still see it.
It's not clear from the photos what the series of steps you've done to reproduce this.
Are you seeing 404 requests in the logs like the previous report? Is the gear icon flickering?
Just switching focus away from the web page. Whether to another browser tab or another application and back again.
Nothing interesting in the web console output.

Can you give me a step-by-step of what you did to get to this issue like the OP?
