Android/Apple Car App?

I was testing Jellyfin using Channels as the tuner to see what their environment was like. Better support for importing channels from a M3u from CDVR than Plex does, and slightly better visual guide (sorry, purple is just not my jam), but CDVR is still far superior.

However, when driving the other day, I noticed that Jellyfin was available on my Android Auto head unit. I've already uninstalled Jellyfin from my computer, so didn't have the ability to test it out, but curious if the developers have thought about it.

I don't drive much daily anymore, but we do drive down to NC from PA frequently for family visits and having the ability to have the head unit display Channels would be awesome as we are usually driving on Saturday's and Sundays and my wife is as big a football fan as I am and listening on the radio is fine for me but she would enjoy watching it.

You can do this with AAMirror today on Android auto. Be careful though, I'm pretty sure that it is illegal in every state. I never use it while in motion, only when parked.... That's the story I am sticking with...

Yeah I also think that a CarPlay app would be great. There is so much content integrated into Channels and I often prefer eg. Sports broadcasts via the video channels instead of the corresponding radio channels.

With Tailscale etc, it would be useful to set a Channel Collection for driving and be able to play audio only and navigate them via steering wheel controls
