Atsc3 just went live for my area yesterday and channels take 5-8sec to play compared to 1sec or less on 1.0 channels. Anyone know how to get them tune faster? I have tried changing decoder to software, hardware, hybrid in both client and server with no improvement. Slow on shield and iPhone app. My setup:
2019 shield pro. Everything hardwired Gb cat 6 except phone. Edgerouter lite. UniFi AP lite. Switch. Hdhr Quattro 4k. Server specs below. NVME SSD. Thanks!

How long does it take in the official HDHR app?
I have the same tuner. HDHR app on my PC takes 3 seconds to load ATSC3. All apps for Channels DVR typically take 4 seconds to load, though sometimes I've seen 6, whereas ATSC1 only takes 1 second.
Probably just the way it is to lock on to the new higher compressed signal stream. Future tuners may be able to do it faster.
For my stations, I also noticed they are about 15 seconds behind the broadcast as the ATSC1 station. Probably the delay it takes them to get the signal from the ATSC1 source and re-encode it for ATSC3, as I suspect that is how they are doing it right now.

They take about the same time 5-10sec on hdhr app. Both apps load times are inconsistent ranging from 5-10 when tuning same channel same program
Sounds like a tuner firmware issue then.
Firmware up to date. Any other ideas?

Ok thanks. These new channels are taking about 5sec on @Bigmizzoufan atv setup. Under perfect conditions how many sec is normal?
