I have the latest Stable version of the DVR running on Sequoia, but I have noticed a problem. Audio from HDHR streams is choppy. If I restart the DVR it's good for a day or so but then the audio issue comes back.
Very little information here yet I'll make a few guesses.
First, this sounds like a client to server issue, not a server issue.
First check if you play the video directly on the Mac server that it plays properly. If it does, then it's a client to server issue.
Your server should have a wired connection for reliable communications. Wireless can lead to issues.
Do a speedtest from your client, what do you get?
What client are you using?
This system is not new, Been running for 4 years. Upgraded to Sequoia on server the other day. All devices are on Ethernet.
The thing is, Channels streams directly from your HDHomeRun for live TV watching, by default. The server isn't even involved.
Do you have Tuner Sharing turned on? If that's the case, then the stream DOES go through the tuner.
Tuner sharing is on. If it starts to get choppy again I will turn tuner sharing off and see what happens.
With tuner sharing off
If Original Quality Delivery > Direct then stream goes from HDHR tuner > Apple TV
If Original Quality Delivery > Stream then stream goes from HDHR tuner > Channels DVR Server > Apple TV
Figured it out. It's something to do with the Firewall in Sequoia. It's very different from Sonoma. When it is on I get audio breakup from the HDHR, when it is off everything is fine.
Hmm, I wonder if that has something to do with this macOS 15 bug, that involves iCloud Private Relay and Firewall:

By any chance do you have iCloud Private Relay enabled?
No because I run my own DNS servers.
Cool. Same reason I don’t
Someone just reported the firewall caused recording issues with Sequoia 15.0.1
