I have found that as long as I am sending out LPCM from the ATV everything is fine. Issue only seems to pop up when sending Dolby audio only. But I did not see this odd behavior prior to tvOS 17.
Sure, I understand that this issue is not happening when passing LPCM, but that is my issue, I have an older receiver that supports up to Dolby Digital, and I don't want to have to buy a new receiver just to support Channels audio, especially when other apps even in TVOS 17 have no issue, and pass stereo to my receiver to allow it to handle it appropriately.

Since these changes I still cannot use the experimental driver with AirPods Pro. Need to use default driver. Anyone else with this? This is on two different AppleTV 4K.
The latest beta of 17.2 dropped today and it fixes the 5.1 sound issue.
