Automatic switch for poor signal

Here in Florida, we have a lot of tropospheric ducting. That is when the atmosphere allows rf TV waves, to travel long distances due to temperature and humidity variations. We see a lot of channels from Pensacola and Mobile as well as others coming across the gulf and wiping out the digital signals near Orlando.

I have these channels backed up with TVE, Chrome Capture and ADBTuner. Of course these are only stereo and I like to watch network TV in 5.1. I would like to see Channels switch to a backup if these channels start displaying poor quality.

Thanks for the feedback.

Hmm, if your backup channels are using the same channel-ID, the same EPG, as the OTA channels, that’s how Channels is designed to work. It should fall back to the backups only when necessary following the Source Priority you’ve set.

It seems this only happens when tuning. Doesn’t change channels while watching or recording.

I'm sure they won't change the current behavior.
If you tune a channel on your TV and the signal goes bad, or starts breaking up, pixelating, etc. You would change the channel yourself. The TV doesn't do it for you.
