Images from TVDB do not seem to work. I get a blank white square every time. Don't seem to have issues elsewhere I've tried, including Disney+.

TVDB does not allow hot linking images.

• I would like episodes to be able to inherit the artwork of the show. I have some Stream Link non-matches that I can now create the metadata for, but there does not seem to be a way to edit episode art.

Some work on making this better is being done as we speak.

So far working great over here. I'm finally cleaning up lots of imports that had no match and PlayOn recordings that didn't have any metadata. The UI is easy and elegant.

One idea that would save lots of copy and paste time, is if the blank episode field could simply default to the filename, as an editable suggestion.

Two Android/Google TV Issues (might be the same in Apple, but I cannot test):

(1) Any Movie that I edited the name of only shows the Release Date underneath it. Please note that this only impacts Movies. TV Shows were perfectly fine.

(2) On the main screen of TV Shows, a show that I edited the art of that was non-standard size remains that way. Please note here this is only a problem in the main TV Shows landing area. When I went into All Shows, everything still resized/cropped and fit there perfectly (no issues when doing the crazy fast scroll, either).

Does it matter what the aspect ratio is for artwork?
I'm assuming it wants 4:3 for TV Shows and 16:9 (or is it 2:3) for Movies.

Categories do not determine this. How you import them does. If you import them as movies, then they'll be movies and need a 2:3 aspect. If you import them as a show, so that it's a group of videos, then you need a 4:3.

You dont' HAVE to adhere to this of course. But if you want it to look good in the app, it's highly suggested. The app assumes these things and your experience will be better.

As of the latest DVR pre-release, there is now a Poster picker to let you change your Movie and TV Show posters. You have the option to just choose from the listed options, or update the poster with a URL.

Additionally, if you're updating a Show's art, you can optionally choose to propagate the new poster to every recording in the show. This will help with non scanned shows with art.

For me, this is one of the most wanted and unexpected features of Channels DVR since I started using it four years ago. I want to see if it makes it easier to import my offline local content. Mainly TV Shows and Specials that couldn't be matched by Gracenote before.
