Would also like to see this new UI look for normal DVR program episode/recordings too, not just local library files.
One annoyance for me, though is in my custom video groups that just have random video files I watch them delete, it’s showing the image that I set for the group, not the thumbnail the actual video when I click to show the preview of the video.
Is there any way to set that so that when I open the Video episode file preview, it shows the video thumbnail?

The eposode tags are smooshed a little bit
Others look fine though. Maybe when there are more than a certain amount of them?

The latest TestFlight beta handles tags a bit better to ensure they don't over flow. The build following up behind it does even more.

Noticing that Movie synopses are truncated in tvOS but are full text in iOS for the same movie title.
Is that intentional? Is there a way to expand tvOS text?

I hope this hasn't been asked or noted and I missed it, but I am wondering what is the size used for the backdrops?
Maybe I found a bug? So, in the web app, I have a show (Agatha All Along) that doesn't have a backdrop automatically, it's just blank. When I click the edit button none of the images provided to choose come from TMDB, so I decided to upload my own image that I had downloaded. The problem is that when I do that, it doesn't apply the image to the backdrop, it adds it as the main show image instead.
I hope that makes sense. What is odd is that this isn't the case for other shows (at least ones that already have a backdrop already. Updating those works just fine)
EDIT UPDATE: I actually realized the issue was that the wrong metadata was being pulled in somehow. I applied fix match and re-pulled in the show and it's now fine.

Hey,
Not entirely sure if it’s related to the latest beta or simply because my library has grown, but when I click on a movie, the backdrop appears instantly on the detail page, while the poster and logo take a moment to load afterward. It’s not a major issue, but it does look a bit rough. I’m fairly certain it didn’t behave like this before.
Has anyone else experienced this?

Yes, the new views load dependent on loading of the images. If it didn't do what it does, it would look awful every time.
The good news is, we've implemented new robust caching both on the server and on the client. So now any images loaded from the internet (almost all of them), go through your server and are cached there, so they can load faster later. Additionally, we've implemented a disk cache on the client so images are almost instantly when they're requested again.
So while you may see some initial speed difference (depending on your internet speeds), as you use the app things will start to pop up much faster.

As of the latest TestFlight beta, you can now (FINALLY after many years) expand summaries in the case that they're truncated. Just navigate focus up to the summary and select it. This works on iOS as well by just tapping the summary.

• IMPROVED: Network name that episode was recorded on is now shown in the new recording modal if it is a recording
THANKS, Beats a channel number that may no longer exist.
UPDATE: Just realized that only the source device and channel number are stored in the database. So if the source device goes away, or the channel number changes, this doesn't display the network recorded from.

Choosing a show from Apple TV top shelf takes you to a screen that is unselectable. It is a dead end

I am REALLY enjoying this new layout. I cant wait for it to come out of beta so the rest of my boxes will get it.
Question- I am a mixed environment household (android and apple tv), do you have any plans to bring this to Android?
