BETA: XMLTV support in DVR

My Mac and my iPhone both show me this screen.

You don't see the trash icon in your case because you haven't set up guide data for your tuners yet. After you set up guide info, then the refresh and trash icons will appear.

Has anyone had any luck loading the XMLTV data hosted on XMLTV.net?

Just doesn’t load for me unless I manually use their script and change from ISO-8859-1 to UTF-8 encoding? However, this only loads a few hours data and you can’t record with it. Wondering if there is anything on my end I can do further?

The XMLTV.net data appears quite accurate when I manually compare to other suppliers and the xmltv.net data contains all image posters at 4x3! with almost no programs without images.

Would be great to simply use their hosted files.

Brilliant work CHANNELS! Excited to see AUS DVR support!

Any errors in the log when trying to load xmltv directly?

I cant see any error and nothing appears in the guide database - using v2019.12.23.1815 windows 10 server.

Just checked and I didn't have the latest version, but confirm still no guide data loaded when pointing to xmltv.net with v2019.12.27.2130

I use iptv-epg.com and that seems to work as a xmltv source (for the Netherlands). This site has guide data for a lot of channels (100 countries, 8500 channels). So this might be a solution for a lot of international users.

A new update is available with a fix for the xmltvnet encoding issue.

Thanks Aman - XMLTV.net data loads now.
Although, guide data within the app (apple tv) only shows a few hours worth (approx. 2hrs), and premier tags are not recognised for series pass.

Do you see more than two hours of data on the dvr web UI? Can you submit diagnostics from the app.

Thank you for the diagnostics. I see the issue. You will need to upgrade to v2019.12.30.2110, then force Re-Download Guide.

I noticed that when using telly I can't provide my own custom epg xmltv url.

When I add the Telly IP address. I do not get the option to select an url or enter a zip code. When the device is added, I try to edit it by clicking on the edit button. Than I can only add a zip code, no custom url. It looks it is specific to Telly. With a normal Hdhomerun device I can add a custom url.
After Network scan, no Telly:

same question here - i was really excited to finally get the guide data working for my custom channels that i run here in home, and now i can't get the epg to import to channels. very disappointing...

the past comments seem to indicate this was possible, then all of a sudden all conversation just stopped. what's going on?

can you comment on this? it doesn't seem to be possible right now, but your previous comments seem to indicate that it should be...what are we doing wrong? i'm seeing the same thing as @Geert, having no luck getting my custom EPG that telly is broadcasting to show up in channels...
