The demo channels only appear on the OTA tuner models. I assume you have a PRIME for your regular cable channels? You only need to hide the demos on your OTA tuners. They are labelled as “CNN demo” etc in the list on http://my.hdhomerun.com
Ah, excellent! That’s the info I needed. That makes this much easier. Appreciate the lightning fast - and helpful, to boot - responses, as always.
Once you hide the channels on http://my.hdhomerun.com (click into each OTA tuner and then into Channel Lineup), you can also upgrade your DVR to the latest pre-release build which will ignore demo channels once they’re hidden. Hold down the SHIFT key on your keyboard and click Check For Updates on the DVR web UI.
I’ve uploaded a new beta build (v132) of the Android TV app to the Play Store. It has a built-in 1s buffer when watching premium tv stations. After your device updates itself (check About tab of the app to make sure it says 132), try to play some channels and let me know if it works without stuttering now.
Are you sure it’s 132? I went into my app and unless it updated without me noticing, it’s at 132 already. I also tried going back into it and it still stuttered.
Oops, 133 =D
Nailed it. Works great … No stuttering with this build. Thanks!
The OTA channels won’t work for me with this build. Also the app is crashing. I submitted the diagnostics from the app this morning. Thank you.
My locals aren’t tuning either with build 133. But in my case they are clear-qam cable channels, not OTA channels. The error it gives is that there is no HDHR detected and to go to the tuner settings tab to add a tuner.
Same error with OTA channels.
I’ve uploaded beta v134 to Play Store with a fix for tuning OTA channels. Thanks for testing, and please report any other problems!
It is working for me now. Thank you!
The FTV is giving me no end of grief with Beta updates. Got a notification of an update, yesterday. Ok: Install. Fails. Tried again. Fails. Fine: Force quit the app, uninstall, re-install. It re-installs 2.0.7. sigh Go to my apps with the web interface and send the Beta to my FTV. Install fails. Twice. Grrrrr Force stop and uninstall, re-send. It installs Beta 128.
Gave up. Removed the Test version from my cloud storage.
So I’d like to continue helping with Beta testing, but Amazon is making it difficult.
v2.0.8 is available today on FireTV. I don’t plan to upload betas to Amazon anymore because their beta testing setup is a disaster.
With the latest App on iOS and the latest DVR beta I can’t watch the Premium channels remotely. My OTA work fine. With the Premium I get this in the log…

Discussing this on another thread: Premium TV issues with Web Player
Looks like SD has changed their codec for the Premium channels recently.
Thanks
I’ve uploaded pre-release v2018.09.02.2253 with improvements for Premium TV transcoding/remuxing.
You guys are great. Seems to have fixed the issue. Thanks!
