Yes you can see the device ID is different for each error, so its finding another one of your EXTENDs with free streams to use.
Sorry about the question. I am little lost on how to start. Anyone can provide step by step on how to get HDhomerun Premium TV shown properly on Channels DVR? Do I need to upgrade Extend firmware first? Then selecte channels on my.hdhomerun.com? Then, map the channels numbers on DVR setting web page? Are these the right steps?
I updated the DVR and the apps and don’t see the issue anymore.
If I install the pre-release (mainly for the purpose to watch live tv via the QUATRO / Premium TV) will it AUTO UPDATE like the normal DVR? Or do I need to do the shift/check for updates for every new build? Also, all of my recordings will be on the PRIME’s (top two in priority), are those still solid (I think I saw an early problem)? Just want my recordings and play back on the PRIME’s to continue to work as normal while I use the New stuff on the Apple TV (and iOS).
it auto updates once a real build is released, you have to manually check for the pre-release builds.
So my observation is that the USA and Paramount channel guides are still pulling PST, rather than EST for me. Also, has anyone noticed that the streaming rate from the HDHomerun box is only 2-3mbps and live tv can be rather pixelated? Any fix or thoughts on this?
Update: ESPN guide is also not reflecting the current show.
Picture quality is definitely poor for me. Nothing Channels can do about that I assume but hopefully will be improved by SD.

USA, Paramount and other channels are only available in PST feeds. See the timezone chart on SiliconDust’s website.

The feeds are 2.5mbit. Again, this is just what they’re offering as part of their service. It could certainly be better, and if you’re paying for it then you should tell them how you feel about it.
I hope the stream quality improves and EST feeds are offered for all streams in the future, but I have no idea what SD’s plans are.

Does it show the right guide data in HDHR’s official app?
Nick has already said this is his top priority is quality. I think it will improve quickly. Here is his comment:
Hi guys,
The initial 5000 number comes from an internal rollout plan relating to servers and bandwidth at launch. The scaling plan which will kick off once we have verified real-world performance of every part of the system.
Nick
Edit:
Scalability is one of the hardest issues in providing Live media distribution, and it sounds like Silicon Dust is limiting the expansion of their Premium TV service, to have better management over Quality of Service than other Services have previously. Sling TV, DTVN, etc. have tried to outpace each other’s expansion in the field, to the detriment of their subscribers. Silicon Dust obviously has a more responsible plan, and seems more interested in quality than quantity. Good choice.
This exactly!
I updated the DVR to 2018.08.22.1913. I am seeing some ICON’s on the ON NOW Screen for the DEMO Channels. But only 1 of my Frontier FIOS Clear QAM Channels have a ICON. I am using the same “USA-CA65194-X” for the two PRIME’s and the 1 QUATRO. In my.hdhomerun.com I am disable all SD Channels and all of the 5000+ Channels.
Activity now says IDLE. But earlier it said it was loading Guide Data. I see very very little Guide Data for QUATRO Channels except the one I mentioned earlier with the ICON. The Sports Channels (MLS, MLB) are showing some Guide Data.
All Channels are working like they did before I updated the DVR. I thought I read you need to update the DVR to get the ICONS and Guide Data.
The DVR assumes the QUATRO would be setup with an OTA lineup not cable lineup. If you’re using the QUATRO with ClearQAM and receiving local stations (with dotted channel numbers) then you should trash the guide data and add the local broadcast lineup instead.
I assume you must have associated your locals on the QUATRO manually with the stations if you’re seeing guide data for them?
All good now. You told me this years ago when I first started and was using a DUAL with my Prime’s. Shortly after I dropped the DUAL until today I added the QUATRO.
dvr using both tuners for one show
Tuner 0 Channel 1449 DSC
Tuner 1 Channel 1449 DSC
dvr using both tuners for one show
If you’re watching on different clients, you need to enable Tuner Sharing option in each app to take advantage of the sharing feature.
I’m not watching tv. The Dvr is using up two tuners for one show
You need to update to the latest pre-release. You’re still using the old one with the recording bug.
Do the same thing as before: hold down SHIFT and click the Update button.
I also received this email from SD support.
Currently the channels are delivered at 2.5Mb/s. We are working on improving the quality.

The HDHomerun app is showing the same guide data as Channels. Hopefully they do offer EST streams in the near future and upgrade their quality once they realize real world performance.
