I always go to ESPN and I tested it along with a couple other channels. When I select the channel, it goes to the channel with immediate freezing and the audio goes in and out. After this, the video plays normally but there are glitches here and there with significant pixelation which also comes and goes. The best channel for some reason is hallmark which is good because I watch that alot…lol
Thanks, I will test with ESPN and HALL.
I’m curious if you make a recording off one of those channels and play it, does it also stutter?
I haven’t tried recording but I will do so
Also, if you pause the player for a couple seconds during Live TV and then play, does it stop stuttering?
I just shot a couple videos. Can I email them to you so you can see what happens?
On my Apple TV last night I had stuttering when playing back live TV on AMC and Discovery. None of the recordings I made last night had the stuttering. I watched Better Call Saul after about 20 minutes of recording, no stuttering when playing back while it was currently recording.
Sent. It took me a minute to get it to go. Thanks!
AMC is doing right now on the Apple TV 4k
Thanks
If you’re seeing stuttering issues, best thing to do for now is pause for a few seconds and then hit play.
Any idea why this is still being reported on (some?) ATVs?
I just upgraded to 2018.08.29.0234 and all of my recordings are stuttering bad on the web interface (from second computer on same network). Seemed to work fine before. Here is some of the log:

Those episodes were recorded while SiliconDust was tweaking quality and introduced an audio issue. Unfortunately they are corrupted so there’s no good way to play them back. New recordings should not be affected.
Is anyone on FireTV or Android TV experiencing buffering while watching Premium TV live?
I did this morning at around 7:30am EST on the Shield TV.
I’ve been having issues with the webplayer. When I select a show to watch, the video starts for a second and then just stops. At that point I just see a spinning circle on the browser video window. This has been happening before and after SD changed their codec settings. It only seems to happen with certain channels. The only resolution I’ve found is to restart the DVR service. Version is 2018.08.29.0234. It’s running on an Unbuntu server on 18.04.1. Using chrome on Windows 10 machine. The logs don’t really report anything useful.
I’ve been having issues with my FireTV this morning. I have been getting some pixelation and stuttering.
I will try a new recording but strange that last night it was playing okay but this morning it started stuttering (same recording). But last night I was watching on Fire TV and this morning on the webplayer…I’ll mess with it more when I get home later…
The same recording plays perfectly fine on the Fire TV but stutters bad on the web player. A new recording plays fine on the web player…interesting.
