Channels thinks a 1 hour recording is 24 hours long

Not sure what's causing this, but I've had a few recordings now that Channels seems to have gotten a bit messed up. Normal recording, should be about an hour long and Channels seems to think it's almost 24 hours long.

Scrubbing through it and it seems to have some issues during playback (although if I just let it play without pausing or going FF/RW it seems fine).

Any ideas?

What source are you recording those from?
Do the recordings show as being interrupted?
It's caused by incorrect timestamps in the recording.
Happens mainly on TVE and Custom M3U channels.

IPTV sources - doesn't say it was interrupted but I've had that happen before with the same issue. Just half to chalk it up to a bad stream I imagine...

Yep. Unreliable IPTV streams.
Happens with some of the Channels DVR TVE streams sometimes.

I don't use the rewrite timestamps in Channels DVR because more often than not it corrupts the recording beyond repair. If you want to try it, make sure to make a copy of the recording first.

I prefer instead to remux the recording with ffmpeg into a new file, keeping the original recording in case things go wrong with the remux.

There’s an m3u tag you can apply to a channel to have us rewrite timestamps while recording:
