Channels Unknown

Am in Los Angeles area - I was getting Channel 9 and 11 - I had to rescan as I moved - I now see both of them in the guide with the correct listing of upcoming shows but when I go to the channel it says unknown channel - these are fairly typical channels normally and had them before

Any thoughts ?

Thank You

Actually finding it is doing it for several channels these are all OTA

In the web ui under the HDHomeRun source do the channels show up in the channel list? Have you tried the “reload lineup”, “sync station mappings” and “redownload guide” options there?

In addition to what @Macnbaish said, if you moved from one zip code to another, you need to Remove Provider and pick it again using your new zip code.

I have done that a couple times

Same zip code but reloaded that as well - thank you both for thoughts

I would think if you tried to watch one of those channels from the web UI guide, Channels DVR will log whatever errors happen and you can see them in the DVR log. Never heard of 'Unknown Channel' error before.

It seems weird - if I connect directly to tv without HD homerun - I get them. When I connect to HD homerun and Channels DVR ( have re sync’s, reloaded, all of those) it shows up on the guide and as noted the guide is correct but when I select the channel(s) it notes unknown channel with time bar across the bottom but will not play anything

How do you watch from Web UI - I see the channels but don’t know how to play them - not the same as the app correct

Click an airing in the grid guide (Live TV>Guide) and from the popup choose Watch Now

Thank you… got several cannot start logs… how do I post those

What does your HDHR tuner show in the system log? http://192.168.1.155/log.html
You need to scroll all the way down. Times in the log are UTC.

If that's not the IP address of your HDHR tuner, you need to click the gear dropdown and select Scan Network for Channels DVR to find it.

Well now it’s worse - the app sees the hdhr but when I go to the web UI it does not show the hdhr at all and now it has this error

Not sure what I did to mess this all up…. If I use the silicon dust app the channels come in fine ( well the ones that I have) with no errors like above….. there is something between the hdhr and dvr that is not talking anymore

You need to find out what the IP address of your HDHR tuner is.
Can you get to it with hdhomerun.local ?
If you can, the IP address will show in the system menu http://hdhomerun.local/system.html

And when you Scan Network from the Channels DVR web UI, it should find your tuner at that IP address

Sorry to be ignorant and I know how frustrating this is for all - This set up worked before and now it does not - and as you can see it does not even see the hdhr - I tried clicking on hdhomerun.local and nothing came up - I am not trying to irritate- it was so easy to set up once and now it is difficult (and not sure why) is there another way to get the IP address -
