Yup, as an iOS developer I fully understand.
For me, the Channels icon is blank in the tvOS App Store, partially indicating a problem. I can download other apps, but they arenāt running (upon startup the lock then crash).
If Channels fails to install and I just click āDoneā my AppleTV is hozed and wonāt open anything after that until I force a reboot by pulling power.
Itās definitely an Apple issue. Likely with the tvOS App Store and servers needed to talk to AppleTV s
I appreciate the update and candor. I do not understand where Gregory_Board is coming from, we all in the community understand how Apple and the App store work. If they approve an App or update, it is their world and we all are just trying to be part of it. Thanks for being so quick to respond and letting us know what to do in the short run. I have 3 Apple TVs with Channels running, so I just need to switch out the Kitchen unit for my living room unit. I get those that those who made the leap of faith like I did to delete and reinstall might not have multiple units to rely on however we all are blessed by the best DVR solution released to date that is finally picking up the promise that WMC showed over a decade ago.

I am sure we all appreciate your help, Unfortunately on an Friday night it is not a good time for a usually stable product to go tits up! I could understand if it was due to an SD issue but this sucks that we have no TV on a Fri night during prime Time!

I downloaded Pandora and DirectTV Now and both downloaded and run fine.
I understand, itās very frustrating and not the experience we aim for. I apologize and I wish it was within my power to fix it.

You do not understand where I am coming from? How hard is it to understand that I am the first to report a problem and yet there is no fix? It is a Friday night and I have no TV due to an āApple " or " Channelsā issue. I paid for this service and have always had great service. Now I have none! Tried all the fixes. So get off your high horse and contribute something worthwhile!
Workaround - can also stream recording via iPhone web access and then mirror to Apple TV.

It seems my AppleTV is just 100% hozed. I canāt even install the TestFlight build - just spins forever on install attempt. Nothing changed on my end to cause all of this, so I have to believe it is Apple Servers dying and my ATV trying to connect to them and failing that is pissing it off so much.
Iām in the NorthEast - New Jersey outside Philly for reference.
