I posted onto an old post DVR Access Failure Remote Access Problem
Problem is that I cannot connect to remote server in USA (I am in Italy). After trying many things, I believe it relates to an expired certificate.

I both posted the problem in the other (old) thread and also sent an email with a log to support. It's been > 9 hours and there is no acknowledgement of my questions so, in case the question has slipped between the cracks, I am reposting this as a standalone thread.
Would appreciate any suggestions on how to resolve the problem. In the interim, I booted up a Plex install as a stop gap and am at least able to watch TV/DVR via Plex (although I much prefer Channels).
