continuing this closed thread because this is still an issue and has been for years.

to the OP - i posted a thread with video evidence of this years ago and was torn apart by the "community helpers" and channels devs that there was no issue. it's still an issue with OTA, at least on apple tv 4k 3rd gen. you can literally side by side hdhomerun player and channels and watch channels start to have this issue.

check my post history, it was pretty funny and made me realize channels will probably never be loved like it should be by these devs. they should get their llms on it :wink:

Just find different software that works for you instead of trashing someone else's hard work.

Andrew, this is typically a network issue. You posted insufficient information for anyone to help you. Describe your network. How is the server connected, what is it and how are your clients connected and what are they?

I believe I experience the same issue almost everyday. I only experience this when watching an OTA channel live via HDHomeRun and not when watching a recording of an OTA channel or non OTA channels.

Please describe your network. What router, switches? How is the HDHomerun connected and to were?

How is the client you are viewing on connected and what is it?

What is your server and how is it connected?

One switch directly into router, HDHomeRun and N100 Mini PC directly connected to switch. Client is Apple TV 4K 3rd gen connected via wifi. The stutters seem to only start when there is a slight disruption in ota signal and it goes away if I pause or rewind for any length of time.

How bad is the reception issue? Please paste in the log segment for the issue.

Have you tried adjusting tuner sharing? You could try setting it the oppilate of how you have it.
do you see the same issue with recordings?

The signal is fairly good it's just any blip where the symbol quality dips under 100% but you may not even notice unless the audio issue shows up. I haven't tried with tuner sharing or using stream instead of direct so I don't know if there's a way to get the logs if the steam is not going through the server but those options will probably do something as I do not see this issue during recordings.

The server is always involved and your live viewing should be in the log. You can try viewing live TV with the HDHomerun APP rather than the Channels DVR App.
