When I asked if Channels could create an interface with movie/tv tracking apps (i.e. Letterboxd, Trakt, etc.), I was told this is not possible since they do not use Gracenote IDs to match content.
I was also told that if a move exists in your Channels' library, you can display a list of all movies watched. Watched Movie/TV Tracking I assume that you can do the same with TV shows.
Since what you have watched through Channels already exists in their database, I am proposing that Channels create a function to let you easily access this data through the Web Administrative screen. By implementing this function only on the Admin screen, it reduces the development effort required.
It could also be done in phases. For example:
- View the existing list of watched movies or tv shows
- Export the list
- Edit the list, including adding new entries based on Gracenote ID
Since Channels can provide links to open movies / tv shows in streaming apps, having the ability to add items not recorded by Channels greatly improves the usability and reduces the tracking efforts required by the user.
