DirecTV/AT&T auth changes

I’m having the same issue, came here looking for a fix (first time I’ve experienced it.) But it looks like it’s something DirecTV is responsible to fix? Hopefully they do that quickly!

This appears to be a DirecTV issue. I tried accessing several different networks in private browser windows using 2 different DirecTV logins that work for HBO Max, and I am getting that same error page.

Until DirecTV fixes their backend auth issues, I don't think there is anything else that can be done.

(Both logins also successfully work at directv.com, too. That is why I believe this is a backend auth issue with TVE.)

Chiming here to mention that I've also been having login issues with channels like the Food Network. I tried removing the TVE account to re-add it, and now it's getting stuck on the verification/sign-in page and won't authenticate.

Disney Channels are also broken

All channels are broken. The DVR is using the previous/cached authentication until it expires. Once the previous auth expires, the DVR will attempt to reauthenticate, and fail.

(My local ABC was working last evening, but the auth expired today; when Channels attempted to re-auth to record This Week earlier, it failed.

You can expect more and more channels to fail as the days go by; the only solution is to wait for DirecTV to fix this issue, as there is nothing Channels can do.)

Is DirecTV aware of this issue now?

Apparently there is a decades long history of DirecTV auth issues at play here (aka "CARE CODE: 205.4"), exacerbated by AT&T's circuitous single sign on system. My guess: a recent AT&T update broke DirecTV's shared auth functionality.

I'm literally in the middle of building out a brand new channels setup and lost everything on my primary DirecTV source to this issue as well. Hopefully AT&T/DirecTV can resolve it soon!

Apparently there's a lot of folks having 4 hour + convos with support, changing logins and passwords to no avail. I'm curious if having a non AT&T email/login for your DirecTV account may be advantageous to avoid falling into these auth crevices.

ok, must explain why I'm getting errors on Reelz and A&E.

Looks like a fix just went live - rescanning all my DirecTV channels now.
Wow, that was about a 7 day outage.

I can also confirm that TVE is again authenticating with DTV credentials.

Is anyone else having this problem again? Mine has had the authentication error for about a week now. I waited to post because I was thinking it would be solved on Directv's end.

I was having an issue with Directv Stream, for some Fox stations, but it was resolved in build 2022.08.08.2006 for me

Thank you, mine is satellite Directv. Forgot to say that in my post. I tried 3 different pc's and cannot log in without getting the authentication problem.

Here is a pic of the authentication error I'm getting. I can log in on the directv tablet app and tried a couple tv go apps and they work fine. I'm at a stand still here. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Does it work on nbc.com/live when you click TV Provider login and select DirecTV?
