Downloading DVR content to external devises within Channels app?

Is it (or will it) be possible to download DVR content to an iPad or iPhone within the Channels app?

I saw this post from 2018 and wanted to know if there has been any update on this potential feature.

I am aware I could manually find the video file on my server and download the file into VLC on my device, but the Channels interface is so slick, it just feels like this feature should be there.

No, this feature does not presently exist. IIRC, the developers have indicated an interest in bringing such a feature forward, but as of yet they haven't discussed its status.
