Ran fix on Mac mini, got DVR restored. Looks like it missed recording a show tonight; need to investigate more; but thanks for the help!
Yikes. I restarted the DVR from the old build and now it doesnāt recognize my recordings! And all my passes are gone! Is there a way to manually restore this info? Tried unchecking then rechecking the DVR box and it didnāt do anything.
What commands did you run? If you ran the old build manually thatās not going to work.
Oh dang thatās what I did. Sorry Iām confused now, tried a couple commands in this thread but it didnāt restart my DVR. Is there another step to restart it?
The fix on macOS is:
cd channels-dvr && ln -nsf 2017.01.14.0019 latest
It should come up automatically once you do that.
If not, run:
~/channels-dvr/uninstall.sh
sleep 2
~/channels-dvr/install.sh

Although this would not have made a difference for meā¦ (since I would be in the ācutting edgeā groupā¦ but maybe add an option of a tiered autoupdate? It may be a nightmare to manageā¦ but just a thoughtā¦
- Cutting edge: immediate update of all alpha/beta DVR builds (same as what is now)
- Regular: Delayed by 48-72 hrs [If there is a problem build, the cutting edge would raise the alarm before it affected too many]
- Slow: Delayed by 7 days
with manual update updating to the latest mode selectedā¦
