DVR Server on Mac Mini, Using Synology NAS Share?

I currently run Channels DVR Server on Windows 11 Pro, with recordings going to and stored on a NAS share from my Synology.

I really hate Windows 11 and am trying to recreate my Channels DVR server on a new M4 Mac Mini, but I can't find the NAS on the "Where do you want to store your data and recordings?" screen. In fact I can't seem to access anything on the network outside of the Mac Mini itself. There's probably some simple setting I'm missing, but could someone please point me to it? Thanks!

@chDVRuser You probably have the most recent experience with this.

I gave up trying to use my Mac Mini for seven DVR servers and still have them running in containers on my Synology.

Here are my Topics if anyone is interested

For what it's worth, I have an M2 Mac Mini running headless (Remote Access) with an external USB drive and Channels DVR has been running fine for many months and it's been totally reliable.

For me disabling File Vault was the key that got everything working. Using a NAS seems like overkill for this application.

I do have a second USB drive on this same machine running as a file server and it works fine as well.
