DVR server on windows

Mine is.

So with the current implementation, the DVR will only start on login. This is similar to how Plex works, and how the DVR engine works on Mac as well. I assume most people who have a media center PC setup have it set to auto-login, so that shouldnā€™t be an issue.

I have auto login on my windows 10 pc I would love to test the DVR on windows

I have a Windows 10 that auto logins after reboot.

mine has not been set to autologin since the computer had been used for more than just a media center PC, but i believe i can change it and would if needed for proper functionality

My Windows 10 machine is my Plex server so it auto logs in upon restart. I look forward to trying the DVR on windows. It has been working great on my ubuntu VB.

Please post which graphics card and driver you are using on Windows.

Intel HD Graphics 5000

Intel Driver, Driver Date is 9/29/2016, Version is 20.19.15.4531

Software transcoder seems to be used for playback. ffmpeg running close to 50%.

Mine is setup to auto login.

All of my PCā€™s auto logon. The system I would like to put it on is my Windows Home Server 2011. I donā€™t have an external video card (itā€™s actually headless) but it is a i7-4790 so I have plenty of horsepower. I also do not care about transcoding because I will only be streaming locally to ATVā€™s.

AMD Radeon HD8400/R3 11/21/16 21.19.137.514

If youā€™re still looking for additional testers, I volunteer as tribute. Win 10 Pro 64bit.

Using a Nvidia MSI 1060 GTX on one pc (currently testing software on) with the Driver updated to 368.81.

On my linux PC (not running the program atm) I have a Asus 970 GTX with the Driver updated to 368.81 as well. If all goes well with testing, I will reformat to windows.

Thank you again for putting the time into this project!

Iā€™m using an Nvidia GeForce GT 730. Driver version 372.70.

My system is not currently setup to auto login but can change that.

AMD Radeon HD 6670 Driver: 15.200.1062.1004

Okay, comskip has been fixed and confirmed working. Hardware acceleration is working for some with Intel HD graphics, but others are having issues. I also just added hardware acceleration for Nvidia graphics and confirmed thatā€™s working too.

Am publishing a new DVR build with all these changes, and then Iā€™ll post the installer link here for everyone.

Sweet! Letā€™s roll!

@facke02 reported that hardware transcoding is working with Intel HD Graphics for recordings, but not for live TV. For live channels, it shows this error in the log:

[h264_qsv @ 00000000024609c0] EncodeFrameAsync returned -17
Video encoding failed
