DVR won't start on Synology DS916+

Your not alone. My dvr crashed after a night of a lot package upgrades. Now can’t uninstall or install. Package says stopped but when I hit run is says it is already running. Can’t install because it says it is running after being unistalled. 8089 is not responding

What model synology?

Ds916+. I think it is unistalled. I was able in install if I don’t enable run immediately. Once I hit run the error message comes up

Did you try rebooting the NAS?

Are you able to SSH into the NAS? Can you run:

tail -n50 /volume1/@appstore/ChannelsDVR/channels-dvr/data/channels-dvr.log

No computer at home currently. Will have to do remotely tomorrow. iPad just ain’t cutting it. I have rebooted before the condition sticks through power cycle

Did a hard reset after unistall. And all of a sudden it’s responding. And seems to be working fine. Thanks for the responses I like your dvr better than plex’s. hoping it all works out

Very strange, but glad it’s working now.

You can check the Log tab and see if there are any error messages in there from earlier today when you were having issues.

Let me know if the problem happens again.

No errors in the log. I will watch like a hawk
