Was just trying to tune a TVE Channel for Live TV viewing
from my previous post Synology DVR Server slow

What is the maximum number of streaming sessions Channels DVR reached?

I hesitate to watch or record TVE anymore due to Xfinity password resets and would like an explanation.

This message comes from xfinity so I guess they are adding some sort of limit.

Just curious are you running multiple DVRs with TVE on each ?

I only have this one DVR using TVE as a source. My two other DVR's use an HDHR tuner and Locast.

There was no other activity at the time of this error.
Had finished a couple recordings over three hours earlier at 14:00.
I was just tuning into DIY to gather log examples of why it takes a long time to tune if it has to re-authenticate.

Either Xfinity now has a 0 stream limit (doubtful), or Channels DVR opened more than one stream.
Question is how many streams did Channels DVR open.

I assume you’re also not sharing your account with anybody else?

You assume correctly. I don't share my accounts.
This is a secondary view only account I created just for Channels DVR.
I also don't stream with anything besides Channels DVR TVE.

It appears that Channels DVR either isn't closing connections it opened or is opening/closing them too fast.

If you look at the log I posted you'll see many of these (which I assume needs an open connection) with no corresponding open/close connection associated with them.

Also, this connection never shows it was closed

So if my assumption is correct, Channels DVR opened 6 streams and I think the limit is 5 based on being able to use 5 devices simultaneously.
