ESPN+ & FOX Sports with Custom Channels via EPlusTV

If you are in the Mets market and you subscribe to SNY, I think you are only entitled to Mets games airing on SNY.

If you are outside the Mets market and you subscribe to MLBTV, you should get all Mets games (unless your location is subject to a national blackout or a local blackout for the opposing team).

I'm running into a similar issue trying to set up a pass to record every Missoula PaddleHeads baseball game on FloSports. Channels will only record the first game in the series and it thinks the next games (even on different days) are episodes it has already recorded, and skips them.

If I understand your post correctly, Channels doesn't have enough information in the guide XML passed from EPlusTV. Is there any way to reconfigure EPlusTV or Channels to remedy this, or would I need to create a shim to rewrite the EPlusTV before it's passed to Channels?

Right, that's what I understood. I'm located in NY, and get WPIX through OTA but it's blacked out in MLB.tv. so I would expect it to be blacked out in mlbserver. But what's that talk earlier about getting a linear SNY feed using mlbserver?

New this year is an in-market SNY streaming package available through MLB. See here: https://support.mlb.com/s/article/SNY-In-Market-Offering

Right, so how do you get it using mlbserver? I thought all you get in Channels are the team MLB.tv streams that may get blacked out when games are on WPIX, like right now. How do you get the live linear SNY feed?

If you are entitled to it with your MLB account, the SNY linear feed will appear at the top of the list on the mlbserver home page, and in the M3U feeds. Same for MLB Network and SportsNet LA. (mlbserver doesn’t generate an XML guide for these linear channels, but you should be able to pair them with Gracenote guide data in Channels DVR and elsewhere.)

I don't see where, could you send a screenshot of where I should look? I only see these

And only 30 streams appear, one for each team in Channels

Ah, you’re on the experimental Python version which isn’t being updated anymore.

Get the main NodeJS version at GitHub - tonywagner/mlbserver

Sorry for the confusion!

Bit of a long shot but does anyone here have the end of Game 5 in 4k from the World Series last year? I have the whole series in 4k and was enjoying watching it again until I realized my recording of the last game crapped out after the 7th inning.

Thanks so much, this is amazing, I'm obsessed with the skip pitches feature, how the heck does it work? Is there any way to get these customized streams into Channels?

newbie Q - how do you get GetChannels to record it in 4k. As I don't think mine did. Does it automatically record 4k if you had YouTubeTV or DirectTV (who broadcasted the game in 4k).

What is the skip pitches feature? I have mtb.tv and would love that. I already love the condensed games. I didn't find via google that it had skip pitches

I think you are referring to mlbserver, so I replied under that topic.

See mlbserver

Just asking if anyone knows any other options to pull Gotham YES games into Channels I only have my TV login to use Gotham
I know the EplusTV master is on the "IL" BUT figured id ask if anyone knew of another option till he is recovered etc.

Yes...using two methods

  1. By having a HDMI encoder and using ah4c or adbtuner to pipe in the channel

  2. Use a spare pc and using CC4C to pipe in the channel

Sign up for mlb.tv and usse mlbtvserver

You don't have to get to "that much coding". You could just install the apps on the devices and connect it to the HDMI enocder and then let Olivetin start the installation. Theres already scripts and playlists set up for the major providers on ah4c. @bnhf

Thanks Ill think about it Hope he gets better to update EplusTV maybe ill look at a low cost hdmi encoder to mess with
