FastChannels - FAST Channels aggregator/manager

Just started playing with PrismCast (installed natively on m2 Mac mini) and already have FastChannels setup for the most part the way I want, any advantage configuring PrismCast with the FC option? Not sure what that will give me.

writing software is very hard and a lot of new "AI engineers" will come to realize that soon enough

still plex issues, looks like 302s in fastchannels logs but hard to tell since they aren't formatted well. i don't have time to debug this so i'll be switching back to what i had. thanks though!

EDIT: oh, and you should ask your LLM to summarize the issues the people are having in this thread. might help you refocus a bit. i can tell you've never had someone comment on a PR you're trying to merge into a project.

EDIT 2: too many concurrent streams. wife and son start streams in other rooms and all cut out. other solutions are handling this by allowing multiple logins to be provided. from what i saw, fastchannels just states "don't worry, it will work". it might have at one point, but streaming is a lot of these companies bread and butter now. outside of multiple accounts, the hack arounds will probably keep being beaten.

hey - Prismcast DRM Bridge gives you access to DRM sources through CDVR. It's a bit hacky, but it's one way to get DRM sources back. It's not perfect..

Will give it a shot, thanks for everything you are doing!

Interesting. I never knew this forum lets you see the edits by clicking on the pencil.

yo!
I just tried Roku myself this morning. I wonder if it's a timing thing - I started fresh; removed Roku, waited a few minutes for it to purge existing data, then re-added Roku, re-scraped, then did a fresh audit. Had to wait out Roku's Cloudfare protection (out of my control).

The filters show a ton of DRM Bridged stations - is that what you were looking for?

I didn’t know Pluto had some DRM stations (yuck). Is that under CA region?

The C-SPAN Live Event channel keeps disabling due to missed scrapes.
Guess I have to pin it?

Just started trying out fastchannels yesterday. Great program, thanks for creating it.

I have a request. When creating a new feed the channels are all selected. So say there are 50 channels in a certain category, but I only want 10 of them. I would have to unselect 40 channels. It would be much easier if they were all unselected so I only had to select 10 channels instead. If possible, could you consider adding “select all” and “unselect all” options?

Or maybe I’m doing something wrong and there’s another way to go about it?

Anyway, thanks for a great program!

IDK, but it just had "DRM" in the url as i mentioned. No idea if it actually has DRM, they channels still play fine in Channels.
As far as the Tuner lost, 403 Forbidden issues. It comes and goes.
Affects Pluto and Plex.
Sometimes, a channel will do it continuously, other times, once, then not again for hours or maybe even days.
The South Park Channels (all are only on CA Pluto) do it the most often, but again, not consistently. 2 days ago, i could not watch any of them for more than a few min, yesterday. did it once, then not again.
Even channel surfing could not trigger it.

Using the Prismcast bridge, Amazon Free channels and Roku channels play fine, but Directv errors out with the HTTP 500 error. I can play the channel (AMC HD) shown in the below diagnostics in both the Directv streaming service and in Prismcast running native in Win 11. Also, I do have the insecure Chrome flag enabled.

confirmed bug. will fix. tnx for report.

did u follow the fix in yellow? it's out of my control - fastchannels runs in HTTP (not HTTPS). so you have to tell Chrome to trust FastChannels as if it's HTTPS -- then DRM Decrypt works inside Chrome

i think this was a caching bug-- will address in next version. tnx for the detailed report.

I have a related problem: Amazon bridged with Prismcast works ok; Roku bridged always fails. Troubleshooting advice?

I think I got it fixed (Roku bridge). It was a caching bug. Will push out with next version.

good point. that channel is very unique. it's kind of like an "overflow" type channel for this scraper so it could be missing during a scrape.

To answer your question, yes - pin it. I will add a way to auto-pin that channel in next version though.

Just set up FastChannels. Love it! Something i can't figure out is the channel logo's are blank in the guide with pluto tv on the channels app. What's the fix for that? Thanks
