It’s not a problem anymore. I was just testing the functionality but I’m not using it. Too low quality.
yea thats the one downfall to using the DRM bridge-- sometimes, the upstream provider "downgrades" the quality of the stream if it's not a hardware-based encryption key.
Interestingly, the artwork next to the synopsis of each channel in the guide is present and accurate. Anyway, thank you again for the reply. I'm sure it is obvious that I'm no expert here, no doubt my fault somehow...
Ok thanks I'll give it a try (it also wasn't marking the dead stations).
I assume I might want to note any channels that I have put into collections in case they get renumbered when there might be a different set of channels upon re-adding them back into Channels DVR?
sorry, I don't understand your question?
I think AI might've wrote that post
EDIT: you know what, never mind. It's not really anything you need to deal with. I just meant it as an aside and should've just not mentioned it.
Cheers.
It maybe wasn't clear but it wasn't that bad.
Is C-SPAN 3 DRM?
It gets a 503 error in Channels DVR

and this Shaka error 1001 in FastChannels
Working on TVE on Directv Stream
Works on TVE using YTTV, but no guide data using tvc-guide-stationid="68332"
Was trying to get the one from FastChannels working.
that cspan scraper is funny... it's not a true "cspan3" channel. it goes to Cspan.com and grabs the live channels at that time. so think of it like "overflow" type channels.
basically, its unreliable... sorry wish it was cleaner - just out of my control.
I can see the same schedule on C-SPAN that's in FastChannels
https://www.c-span.org/schedule/?channel=3&timezone-toggle=PT
It just wont play
agreed-- but notice, there is no HLS link on that page at this time. Throughout the day, they publish an actual link that is playable. to get the true CSPAN3 (linear style), i'd have to get their TVE style link and link to your provider (and I think they have DRM). I haven't gone down that path with CSPAN3 but version 5.0.0 will have some cooler stuff than that -- certainly you dont REALLY want to watch cspan3 anyway?
My TVE C-SPAN 3 guide listing is crap (uses tvc-guide-stationid="68332").
I saw the guide listing for it in FastChannels, which agrees with the C-SPAN website listing.
And there was a show I wanted to watch.
So I have to use FastChannels to look at the guide data, but use TVE to watch it.
What's the point of having C-SPAN 3 in your project?
I know I thought about not including it since it’s so sporadic. But figured someone might use it so I left it.
You mean sometimes it actually plays content?
Yea sometimes! Just whenever they publish a HLS stream throughout the day. No rhyme or reason to when it’s on though. Sorry wish I knew more.
Pull up that link tomorrow during the day and I bet you’ll see a “stream now” or something link.
