Frndly TV for Channels

I have gotten in the habit of running the Delete and Recreate Database each time I add, remove or update channels and/or sources. If your sources are set up correctly, it will completely refresh your guide data, and confirm that scheduled recordings for your passes are updated, especially if any of your channel numbers have changed.

As @chDVRuser has mentioned, it won't help if there's a problem with one of your sources. That's when you'll need to do a little more investigating into your DVR and container logs. :white_check_mark:

I recently lost the "Great American Family" channel via Frndlytv-for-channels. I updated my docker image to see if that might help, but it still isn't seen. I can see the channel via the Frndly app, and I can see the "Great American Faith and Living" channel via Frndlytv-for-channels. The channel number (on my system) should be 9202, but it is missing from the Settings -> Sources -> Frndly -> Manage -> Manage Lineup listing. The channel was there a few days ago, but I noticed that a couple of recordings I set up didn't come in. The error states that channel 9202 wasn't available, and when I checked, it was gone. Anyone have a similar situation, or solution? Thanks!

Still working for me.

Working for me as well.

@matthuisman I lost Great American Family as well several days ago.
All other channels are working for me.

EDIT Likely a problem with Portianer / Docker on PR2100. Moved this to Mac mini and working fine now.

Streaming to the tuner failed. Press play to try again.

It's definitely missing from here for me

It works for me.

Check your FrndlyTV container log for errors.

Are you trying to watch the channel on the same device that Channels DVR is installed on?
GET: http://127.0.0.1:8089 will only work that way, since 127.0.0.1 is the local loopback interface.

I have been having a lot of issues with Portainer / Docker on the PR2100. I did a fresh install of Portainer / Docker to a Mac mini to run the FrndlyTV container and it works again. Still dialing in the Mac mini. We will see how it goes. Thanks for the help.

Now mine is missing as well. Did you ever find a solution?

as mentioned last time a user had missing channels - I suspect running old container
Make sure your running the latest container released 7 months ago.

Got it.

Thank you!

Looks like it stopped working today not sure if it's only me? 7/26/26

I think you meant July 26th.
You can also use FastChannels to get FrndlyTV.
Working for me.

@matthuisman Seeing this: Error: Failed to get response from url: https://frndlytv-api.revlet.net/service/api/v1/tvguide/channels?skip_tabs=0

Corrected thanks & interesting , but no you probably didn't check same issue

Both the matthuisman FrndlyTV container and the FastChannels container are working with FrndlyTV for me. No issues.

Remember you must be in USA for the service, if their website doesnt work directly using your connection - the docker container will not either

Definitely in the USA. And can login to the website without issue. Even changed my DNS to OpenDNS from Quad9.
Not critical, but thought I'd mention it since Skylinejay187 was also reporting an issue.

Update: Changed my password and was prompted to add a special character.
Deleted and recreated the docker with the new password.
All is well.
