This is a forum for Channels users, so it is simply not the place to have this discussion. The project is called "for channels" because that's what it was developed against and tested with. It is not reasonable to expect the developer to install every other piece of PVR software and also test for compatibility.

Since you seem to know how to write scripts, and also have NextPVR etc available for testing, perhaps you can just fix the code to your liking and create a PR instead of accusing the developer of mal-intent.

@matthuisman is not affiliated with Channels, and AFAIK doesn't even use Channels himself. He created this project because users here requested it, and because they are friendly and nice to him. We have a helpful and friendly community here, and further attacks on any members will not be tolerated.

What does this even mean

The forum admin taking the issue up with the problem child is exactly what should be happening. What exactly are you trying to accomplish here?

New Guy here

I have everything set up and working fine with Frndly TV, Pluto, YouTube TV. Love the integration.

However, I've noticed with Frndly TV, everything seems to work and then about 0300 (3 a.m.) Everything on Frndly stops recording. I did have remote channels set up but I removed that from my Android, and deleted the port forward in my router for it as a precaution.

I set up Frndly TV per the forum instruction and have latest docker and Channels. Is there something else I should be doing? Added firewall exception even though, 3 weeks ago when I added Frndly TV, I didn't need one. It all worked fine until this weekend and now it seems as if this is a nightly issue.

Ideas? Can you point me to a post that is similar that I haven't found with some corrective steps, please?

What are you even asking me? The issue I raise is that the author of frndlytv for channels says this is where to go for support. Take that up with Mr Matt

The docker is working great here for me.
The Creation of the project has allowed me to have a more accessible version of FRNDLY TV.
I find it easier to use Channels to navigate programming over the default APPs due to my use of Voice over Screen reader on my phone and apple tv.
The channels app along with the different docker projects allow for me to independently access different services.

Ok I can confirm that is happening to me too. I set 3 shows on 3 different Frndly channels at different times to record this afternoon. Two were interrupted. I’m on latest docker. KEEP_ALIVE=5. I’ll check the docker logs when I get home and see if there is anything showing there.

Got a couple exactly like that last night on 2 different recordings from MeTV.
First time I've seen that error on a frndlyTV channel.

In my case it had just logged in to make the two back-back recordings and no logins after that until this mornings guide update. I have KEEP_ALIVE disabled.

I’m trying out a few more recordings. I lost my docker logs. When I tried looking at the Frndly-for-channels logs it ended up getting messed up so bad that it completely shut down docker all together. I had to reboot my Synology and remove the container and pull it again to get it going again. I’m not sure what happened there seeing as my xTeVe docker also went completely nuts so those issues are probably just me issues.

So anyway, I need to start with a new data set of recording. I’ll try to get some more data and logs this evening. I am currently not experiencing any issues with live broadcast.

Hi guys,
The ad insertion on FRNDLY is braking your recordings.
If you watch carefully on say Emergency on FETV, it will play until about 18 past the hour.
The system will try to push ad insertion that isn't in place.
The problem will cause issues on Stremium and on the app itself.

Well if it really is a momentary blip at ad insertion and the recording continues then the only issue is the loss of a split second of ad. I can live with that.

When the feed stops, i have to go back to the guide and launch the channel.
I'm hoping FETV and those folks at FRNDLY will correct the issue with insertion.
When the insertion works, it transitions nicely. FETV doesn't really allow for time to insert local ads.

My interruptions are occurring on multiple channels. I actually did not use FETV as one of my tests. I watched the recording at the time of the interruption and it was during a commercial break but I could not see the interruption.

Well my Docker logs are showing nothing at the time of interruption aside from the reconnection.

Errors on the frndly servers. As noted by others the same behavior is happening in their app.
