I seem to have lost the ability to get a few channels using TV Everywhere and the one that I am missing the most is BBC America. I can go to their website and use the same credentials with no issue but on Channels it cannot load the stream. Here is what is in the logs. Is there something simple I am missing? Any help is appreciated.
Please update your DVR to prerelease
Thanks for the quick reply. Going to the prerelease version did the trick. I guess I should have thought to try that.
I too have lost access to BBC America (and like offandon1218, I can also log into the BBC America app with my DirecTV credentials). I have upgraded TVE to the latest pre-release version (2023.11.15.2139), but I still can not find BBC America (6087) on the Channel Guide. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
It's been wonky the past few weeks. On my end, Graham Norton has not recorded for several weeks because of network issues on their end (5XX HTTP errors when trying to stream).
However, this week's episode did finally record; so I believe the issue may have resolved on their end.
Glad to hear your BBC issues have been resolved. In my case, BBC (6087) does not even show up on the list of channels any more and as such, it can not be recorded. I have rebooted the TVE server, rebooted the computer the server is running on, updated to the latest Beta version of TVE and r
Rescanned All Channels several times, but BBC is still not showing up in the channel list. I can access AMC (6086) and WE (6089), but not BBC America (6087).
I rescanned for my (DirecTV) source and I can see that during the process it says it is scanning BBCA, but BBCA does not show up in my DirecTV (TVE-DTV) channel guide. I tried it again and on the third re-scan, BBCA showed up. I am not sure what the problem was, but it appears to be working now. Thank you for the suggestion chDVRuser.
Glad to hear you got it back.
That wasn't what I meant by my post. I was pointing out you can view all the TVE channels (even 6087 BBCA when it wasn't in your guide) and rescan individual channels in error (like 6087 BBCA) from that view.
Thanks chDVRuser.
I believe I understand the point you are making. In my case, BBCA was not even showing up on the list of available DTV-TVE channels, so I could not do a rescan of just BBCA. I could see that BBCA was being looked at when I was doing a rescan of all DTV-DVE channels, but it just did not show up on the list. It turns our that IFC was missing also.
However, after the 3rd rescan of the entire DTV-TVE set of available channels BBCA and IFC were on the list and I could again access them in the channel guide and for recording.
In the upper-right of that table is a button that says Scan. If you press that, you can selectively re-scan individual channels without needing to do all of them.
Yes, thank you. I use that occasionally, but in this instance, I could not use that until BBCA (and IFC) were on the list so they could be rescanned.
You're looking in the wrong place. You're in Manage Lineup.
All possible TVE channels show up in the Rescan Channels view.

Where you can individually rescan those channels that errored out or show as unavailable.
Yes, I use this Manage Lineup method. After opening the Manage Lineup list (as shown in your image), I use the Rescan All Channels (above Rescan New Channels in your image) to see if there are any additional channels which can be added to this Managed Lineup list (BBCA and IFC in my case) and then after I was able to see BBCA and IFC, I could then use the "scan" button that you have noted to allow for the rescan of any channel I might be having problems with. The issue I was having was that I had to Rescan All Channels several times before BBCA and IFC even showed up on the Manage Lineup list.
What we are saying is they are always there. You just have to hit the scan button for them to show up so you can hit rescan on them. I got to this screen by hitting manage lineup then scan. As you can see bbca shows up to scan even though Hulu doesn’t even support bbca
Thank you Rice. I have noted this in case I have a similar problem in the future.
