My ChannelsDVR recently started having issues with my HDHomeRun Flex 4K. While relatively new, it had been working properly for several months. The HDHomeRun itself seems to be working. I can access channels on the HDHomeRun app, and the Channels non-DVR app works on my AppleTV. The problem first showed up when the Channels DVR app on the Apple TV "lost" all OTA channels. If I rescan from the Apple TV it finds all the old channels and they typically work for a while (an hour or less), then they all disappear again. From the Channels DVR browser configuration on the server (Mac Mini), under Sources, it shows that one source was found (at the correct IP address) but says "No channels detected". When I scan the HDHomeRun all the old channels are still listed, and after the rescan Channels DVR still does not recognize any of them. Ideas?
ATSC 3.0 NextGen TV brings us 4k and great reception. That is unless the broadcaster encrypts the channel. When this happens many things break and encryption is becoming more common. Are your normal HD channels working? That may be all you can receive from any device that exposes the video for recording.
Complain to the FCC. There are a number of threads about this here and on most TV forums.
Do the channels show up when you look in the HDHR web UI?

Most of the broadcast channels in my area are SD or HD, only a few are ATSC 3.0. All of them disappeared at once. And yes, I did notice at one or two of the ATSC 3.0 channels were encrypted.
Yes, all of the channels show up in the HDHR GUI. The HDHR app on the Apple TV also works fine.
I didn't mention in my earlier post: I verified that the HDHomeRun firmware is up to date. As part of the troubleshooting process I made sure the Apple TV and the Mac Mini are running the latest OS and are fully patched. The problem persists with either the most recent stable release of Channels DVR or the beta version.
Do you have more than one HDHR?
Are you sure the IP address seen in Channels DVR matches the IP of your HDHR?
Did you try Scan Network
and Reload Lineup
There have been networking issues reported with the latest Mac OS, where you have to allow access to local network in Privacy settings (I think it's per app, I don't use a Mac)

Also make sure to assign your HDHR and Server Reserved DHCP IP addresses from your router so their IP addresses don't change.
Found it -- thanks for the hint! It was a networking issue, perhaps triggered by a MacOS update. The application channels-dvd was not configured such that it could communicate with other devices on the local network. Here's what the setting was changed to, which corrected the problems immediately.
