Help with new network setup

I got a new ISP (Astound), they installed a Hitron cable modem, connected it to my Google mesh wifi/router (home/nest), and connected that to a TP Link switch. My server is connected to the switch via ethernet, and Channels is using 192.168.86.31. I have opened up port 8089 on the router. However, I'm unable to reach Channels in or out of my network, any ideas?

You said you were unable to reach Channels.
What exactly is the message displayed when you go to: http://192.168.86.31:8089/admin/settings
What are you using as a server? Windows/Mac/Linux/ or something else

I'm using Windows, and the server is going on Bonjour

Advertising dvr-desktop-2fa8duc.local. via 1 network: [192.168.86.31]

Meanwhile, remote access fails during troubleshooting with "Could not connect to 082a63ee235a.u.channelsdvr.net. Check if the port is mapped." and I can't reach the server over ethernet or wifi using Shield App and Android.

In your Google Router did you forward port 8089? If you didn't, open the Home app on your phone:
Advanced Networking --> Port Management --> Choose Device --> Add Rule --> 8089 == 8089 TCP

Yes, here is the screenshot

You could be in a double nat situation. Does your cable modem function as a router? If so what model is it? It's possible it could be placed in bridged mode.

That looks right.
Further down on the Channels Settings page did you enable Remote DVR

I suspect that is the problem but don't know how to resolve, but the cable modem is not supposed to have a router function. Here is a screenshot showing bridge mode. Office is the connection to the switch.

Yes, it worked fine with my old ISP's router but not currently on either Manual or Automatic.

Modem is Hitron EN2251. It doesn't respond at 192.168.0.1.

Your settings mirror mine except for the cable modem.
Unfortunately, I am not familiar with router conflicts. Sorry

Is the wan ip that you see in your Google wifi status public or private? If you aren't sure then just post the first 2 octets

It says 69.42

Ok then you are not in a double nat situation.

Do other devices work ok and you can navigate to internet addresses ok?
Can you reach the internal ip of the channels server from another machine on the LAN? http://ip.add.re.ss:8089 (use internal address from browser)

Just Channels, Plex works in or out of the network, and no other problems. 69.42.xx.xxx:8089 doesn't work over wifi.

You aren't going to be able connect to the public address from inside your network. Try connecting to the 192. address.

Does portchecker.co show 8089 as open
