How do I turn Advanced Commercial Detection back on

I clicked the Off button for Advanced Commercial Detection and all three switches disappeared. How do I turn it back on?

Please update to the latest DVR pre-release.

Updating to prerelease

On the DVR web UI, select Status > Version > Check For Update > Check for Pre-Release

Prerelease upgrades happen manually, only when you click the button above. The next time a stable release happens, your DVR will switch back to the newer stable build automatically.

the update would not work for me. kept getting Error checking for update: safety check failed: exit status 1
I ended up stoping engine, renaming ProgramData\ChannelsDVR\latest to old-latest and renaming the 2026.08.09.1802 folder to latest, restarted cdvr. the update took, and I was able to re-enable advanced detection.
