How to address incorrect Guide data?

How does everyone deal with incorrect Guide data? I've just experienced back to back recordings where the recorded content wasn't actually the show I wanted to record. This seems to be isolated to a specific channel at the moment. Maybe I need to refresh the guide data? Is it even possible to do so for a specific channel?

OTA or TVE?

Could be a guide error, or could be the wrong station data is assigned to that channel. Can't say without more details about which channel it was.

You can refresh the guide database and see if the latest data matches what is showing now.

Sorry, I should have specified in my original post that this occurred during the recording of an OTA channel (31.1 KMAX-DT). Coincidentally, the problematic recordings (Family Guy) were actually the first in a series of back to back recordings from the same channel. The second recording (Bob's Burgers) contains the proper show.

I've compared the Channels Guide data with the Guide data within the HDHomeRun software and everything seems to match just fine. Not sure whether OTA sources update their guide data frequently enough to account for programming changes which this seems to have been.

Check zap2it.com to see if it also shows the incorrect data

Yep, zap2it looks the same all the way out until the end of the listings. Weird.

I have seen this same problem and am looking for a solution.
95 % of the shows I record are the correct movies/shows. Every week or so a show that I have set to record, records a different show than I expected. I've seen it on several different channels. The most recent example was:
TVE channel 6046 lifetime. The guide says pretty woman starting at 11:00pm Mountain on 10/14.
Lifetime's own web site says that is the show "castle" and that's what it recorded.
Seems like the guide was off.
Any ideas if there is something I should change?

Noting you can do besides finding a better guide provider than what Channels DVR uses (Gracenote).

Channels DVR downloads guide data every morning between 9-11 AM.
If the guide provider updates an airing for the day after it's downloaded you miss it.

I wish Channels could do incremental guide updates during the day.
Perhaps every 2-3 hrs query for any changed guide info for the next 24 hours.
I know TiVo did/does this.

I've also noticed a lag between when zap2it gets an updated listing and when Channels can download and see it.
