Hulu Live TVE authentication is failing

I was having trouble with HGTV (which my wife loves to watch) so I deleted the Hulu Live source and tried to add it back in but it will not let me authenticate. I think the login screen is expecting a human intervention (reCAPTCHA)... please help ASAP...

If you haven’t already, I would suggest submitting diagnostics from the DVR server.

I am getting the same error with the same log info.

The little screen shot of the error shows a captcha checkbox unchecked.

Please post back if you are able to solve this issue. Just stumbled across get channels yesterday and it looks promising. Thanks in advance.

What is the "get channels" that you mentioned?

Here is the screen shot

Login first at the network's website in your browser. After you successfully login, including the CAPTCHA, then try again in Channels.

Logging out and back in with captcha didn't work. Same error as OP. Using Edge browser.

I first reported this to support this past Tuesday. At the time the suggestion was made to move away from my Docker install as that was thought to be throwing the captcha. The next day I installed Channels on my Mac and still get the captcha. I have provided support diagnostics, but not gotten any additional information. It seems the captcha is being thrown 100% of the time via the Channels flow as I can replicate it by hitting nbc.com/live on any number of devices and networks.

I think we'll eventually have to have a way to complete captchas as this will just become more prevalent. Possibly a shared chrome profile that we can access via GUI?

Logging out and back in with both my Mac and Windows laptop did not work...

When I log out and back in on nbc.com/live and other TVE streaming sites, it automatically logs me in when I select hulu live as my provider. Even the ones I have never visited and logged in before. My hulu live credentials are stored on my PC or in the browser. Too bad Channels server can't draw upon that?

Does it make you login again on watch.hgtv.com ?

No it does not. It seems to work for other streaming TVE options but not for Channels :frowning:

I had to select HULU as my provider but after that it went straight into HGTV.

I logged out of HGTV and logged back in and I had to select Hulu as my provider but did not have to actually log in. I then tried to add HULU as a source in Channels and got the same error with the same screen capture that showed the login failure with the "I'm not a robot". I then went to HULU.com in my browser and it went straight in with no login necessary.

And now I just went to foxsports.com, which I had never gone to in my browser and again all I had to do was select Hulu as my provider with no actual login required.

Try from a private/incognito browser window to ensure stale credentials aren't being used.

No. Like the OP I just select Hulu and I am logged in. Never have visited that site before.

Took a series of captcha screens to log in on foxsports.com to log in within an incognito window.

I was able to log into Hulu, HGTV, and Foxsports.com but not Channels...

All the logins required the "I'm not a robot" verification... but they all worked except for Channels...

Yes it took me around 6 captcha screens before I could get into Hulu but HGTV and fox sports.com only required 1 captcha.

I just installed Channels 3 days ago and have been trying to add Hulu Live ever since. I get the same error with the reCaptcha shown above. I have logged into and out of Hulu.com multiple times using Chrome, including going Incognito. All to no avail. I have sent two emails to the support email address and have yet to receive a response.

Anyone have any other ideas?
