I have a question about recording quality. I am currently recording on the highest quality and I am using a HDHR connect with fios local cable. I have had some pixilation issues on my recordings but have never had issues watching live. Would adjusting the recording quality from 1080p 10mbps down to 1080p 8 or 6 mbps help this? I am not sure what the distinction is between these. Thanks!
That is not a recording quality, it is only used for playback.
Recordings are always stored in full quality, as a raw stream directly from the HDHR. If you’re seeing issues, it usually means the network link between the DVR and the HDHR is getting saturated. Is the DVR connected over ethernet?
It was recorded over wifi and I was recording 2 things at once. I will try hooking my computer up with an Ethernet connection to see if that does the trick.
